History: B.B. Brooks purchased this land and a trapper's cabin on his 21st birthday for the interesting price of a sack of flour and four traps. Running sheep and cattle, the ranch became known as one of Wyoming's greatest ranches. B.B. Brooks eventually became one of the state's first governors in 1905 and maintained the beautiful high-acreage property until his death in 1946. In 1948, the Stuckenhoff family purchased the land and has held the ranch ever since. Portions of the B.B. Brooks Ranch still operate as a cattle ranch, and the property is home to a variety of big game wildlife. Its western beauty is unmatched, as its gently rolling hills provide a peaceful landscape as far as the eye can see.
